Dr. Jennifer Nelson is proud to be leading a top notch pet health care team at Mt Hood Pet Medical. Having joined the practice in 2012, she is passionate about being part of the community she serves, caring for both pets and the families who love them. Companion animal medicine has been her exclusive focus since graduating from Oklahoma State University of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She brings years of expertise in internal medicine, dentistry, general surgery and preventive care. As the hospital leader she also fosters strong collaborative relationships with a wide array of local specialists covering everything from orthopedic surgery to radiology and oncology. Dr. Nelson is a dyed in the wool mountain lover and spends her free time with her partner, two young daughters and Otto the Wonder Dog happily exploring Mt Hood in all types of weather. She enjoys everything from hiking, camping and mountain biking to snowboarding, cross country and downhill skiing.
