Dr. Christina Lackey grew up five minutes down the road from the Oregon Zoo and dreamed of taking care of penguins and elephants. When she studied for her veterinary degree at Oregon State University, she re-focused on dogs and cats. She still visits the zoo regularly, but caring for furry family members and getting to know her clients has become her passion. She is especially interested in soft tissue surgery, dentistry and preventive care and internal medicine. Dr. Lackey has two rescue dogs – Graham and Jones – who love hiking, backpacking, and towing her on their scooter when they’re not being couch potatoes. Her household is run by her grumpy old cat, Petra, who secretly likes the dogs but will never admit it.
